Since that thread still exists but cant be replied on I figuer I say this. While the half eight may not be perfect its really really really stupid to compare an RTR mini car to a 10th scale racing buggy. Also running up and down your street doesnt count as racing there .5x8. Id also like to say that personally I feel this child is just mad because his moronic ways were really exposed here on this forum and he limped off like a dog with his tail between his legs. So that explains his crazy comments. Another thing, using words like pwn and badly spelled examples of our languages great four letter words is really juvenille...and well, deterimental to the brain cells of those who read them...it hurts really it does. Mods if you feel the need to lock up this thread please go ahead and delete it along with his afformentioned "Half Eights Suck" thread. Thank you.

...this was my first 'moderator' crisis...I was online with Blackhawk and he told me as it was happening and Huthy shot me a note from Australia...
...I immediately sent 5x8 a 'cease and desist', and very politely told him that his ass was toast...
...Later he sent me an apology, which I accepted, and I have yet to reply to that...
...I deleted 3 of the four and left the last one locked but viewable...Kind of like a head hung on the front gate of the castle...
...5x8 has now been banned, our first, and we realised that more work needed to be done on our word filter :o That was the good thing to come from this little episode...
...THIS thread will stay open as i feel we need a place to express opinions, just like 5x8 did, but with hopefully a better choice of vocabulary...It wasnt the CONTENT of 5x8's comments but the words he used and the obvious 'I am coming unstuck' attitude that meant i had no choice but to ban him...
...I just ask that we all behave as adults...No 'payback' is needed or will be tolerated...Sure call him names but leave it at that...BitHed has spoken...

exactly, threads like the one he posted often cause huge flares between people but the wording he used is something I hate to see on forums. I belong to so many different sites and honestly, people are getting worse and worse with the way they speak to eachother. It gets old and this was one of very few sites that similare language does not appear on. Save it for your buddies and keep the forums clean!!!

I have been "playing" with "toy cars/rc-cars" for many years and I have never understood why people get so worked up. After all they are toys even if they do cost a chunk of money. And the guys who bag on the smaller cars are just not knowledgable enough to know that a 1/16 1 pound car traveling 40 mph isn't going to last as well as their bigger cars. Any ways as soon as I get my digital video camera sold/traded I will be wanting to tap some of the veterans for some mods so I don't waste money on the wrong stuff. Like I said just my 2 cents.

ok here is the problem. the person on ultimaterc keeps changing S/Ns. we need to find a way to ban him completly. he keeps scaming and begging for stuff.

i apologize for moving the 1st post that was the apparent spark behind this debacle. every once in awhile you get these kinds of things :rolleyes: comes with the teritory of a public forum. i believe b has handled the situation perfectly. i think i was just lucky to catch the 1st garbage post and rather than going through the diplomacy and real work, i just moved the thread to private section for the other moderators to see. again, well done b :p crisis adverted and back to business :p unfortunately i get these more often on mzr. even worse than the illogical rantings of what seems like children, i find the spam posters even more offensive as thier garbage isn't even rc related. just clear abuse of a forum for advertising garbage. :mad: i just hope the forum phising machines catch thier info that gets posted and does the same thing to them.
