View Full Version : Drinking in Japan

10-18-2005, 12:18 AM
...This is basically general knowledge but it is the first time I have ever found ANY online information THIS clear...Its pretty funny...

...The direct quote from the source says..."Do not start drinking until everybody at the table is served and the glasses are raised for a drinking salute, which usually is "kampai". Avoid using "chin chin" when drinking a toast, since in Japanese this expression refers to the male genitals."

...So be careful when you start toasting the 'erection' of the new prime minister ;)

If I make it to Japan, I will make sure and bring you some "munchies". Its all about the heat and eat.

actually it's "bagels"...(Maybe that's why you didn't get it:D)... they are a donut-like bread usually served with cream cheese

and bagel bites are little ones

...An award? Really? FINALLY someone recognizes my uncanny ability to reel off post after post of mindless drivel!! AT LAST!! :D

...Moose you order it i ship it made...I have EVEN been known to ship dubious UMD's of scantily clad Japanese 'people' to anonymous clients ;) I ship with plain brown wrapping paper

10-19-2005, 01:21 AM

10-19-2005, 01:24 AM
oh, that UMD. I love those things. Found a place that is building a video/audio output so you can hook it to your tv.

So do you make your own or are they commercially avaiable in Japan?

One question, live action or "anime"? If animated, I have collected screensavers and such over the years. Nothing to racy, mostly bikini stuff.

...Whichever your pleasure young hammer ;)

10-19-2005, 06:22 AM
Actually, I am not that young. I remember the "import" super famicom games that filtered over here and I do have one or two anime "OVA's" based on them (released by a U.S. based company) in my tape collection. I will not mention the title's here because of some will search them out.
