binding something???

Does everybody elses H8 have very little freedom in the drivetrain, almost sounds like something is binding, i replaced the gears in my center, F & R diffs but still loud gear noise-thats alot of work for any motor to overcome the resistance in the drivetrain first before it can even start applying power to the ground.

Anyways just wondering if they are all like this (pretty noisy gears), if the motor is out and I push the buggy it does not roll any further after I stop pushing, my 1/8 scale you can give it a push and when you stop it rolls another 6-8 feet

Please reply so that I know if I should tear it apart and look for some other problem

is sounds like your gear mesh. also when you push it do you still hvae the motor in it, cause if you do its going to stop. also the car is going to have some noise

motor is out and it still just doesnt seem to freely roll....does yours?

...I know exactly what you mean...Mine rolls NOW but it is full of third party parts..stock center diff in 3R center hub, 3R cups on ALL diffs, ATOMIC balls in front and rear done up tight...and also Flanged nuts on CAW 1:10 hubs / axles...Its fine now...this MIGHT help you...Apologies if it doesnt...
